Traveling alongside her means having a ton of fun while gaining rare insight into the region’s wildlife, ecosystems, and human stories—woven through the lens of hope and action.

With Wild Women Expeditions (WWE), this journey is designed through the transformative power of women supporting women. It’s an adventure rooted in respect for the land, its people, and its delicate balance. “I don’t travel to the ends of the Earth to escape—I travel there to connect.”

-Sunniva Sorby

The Arctic and Antarctic are mirrors, showing us both the fragility and resilience of our planet. These are the places where silence has a voice, where the horizon stretches unbroken, and where every detail—the crack of ice, the sweep of aurora, the gaze of a polar bear—reminds us that we are part of something infinitely larger.

I return to the Polar Regions because they hold lessons we can’t afford to ignore. The ice is melting. Species are shifting. These are the planet’s early warning systems, telling us with urgency that what happens in the poles does not stay there—it ripples outward to touch every life, everywhere.

But the poles are not just about wilderness and wildlife. They are also home. In the Canadian Arctic, I’ve been welcomed into communities whose resilience, ingenuity, and deep connection to land and ice are living testaments to what it means to thrive in balance with nature. Elders and youth alike have shared stories that stretch across generations—reminding me that wisdom isn’t only found in science, but also in culture, memory, and relationship.

I travel here to learn, to listen, and to carry those voices with me. Because travel, when experienced fully, doesn’t end when we come home. The journey continues in how we live, how we engage with our communities, and how we choose to protect what we love.

For me, the Arctic and Antarctic are not just destinations—they are teachers. The landscapes, the wildlife, and the communities all hold lessons that guide us toward resilience, presence, and hope. My purpose is to bring those lessons back to you, to inspire connection and action for our shared future.
